With heavy hearts, we announce that WestGroup's beloved CEO, Ted Apostol, passed away on the evening of September 5, after a sudden hospitalization for a serious heart event. Ted created strong bonds with clients, colleagues, community leaders and employees alike, and we are deeply moved by the tremendous outpouring of support shown to us as we mourn the loss of an exceptional leader, mentor, friend, colleague and family member.

For 41 years, Ted Apostol dedicated himself to building WestGroup Research into the leading market research company in the region, proudly serving clients around the state, the nation and the globe. Ted was WestGroup’s CEO and primary owner, along with his wife Cari, for 26 years; its leader for nearly 30 years; and an employee since 1974.

In recent years, Ted worked closely with the Executive Team of Glenn Iwata, Peter Apostol, and Kathy DeBoer to transfer day-to-day company management and leadership responsibilities. Although Ted’s guidance and vision can never be replaced, WestGroup operations will honor his legacy by continuing to serve clients and employees with excellence and integrity.
